Eidur Gudjohnsen signs for Shijiazhuang Ever Bright - report

Chinese Super League side Shijiazhuang Ever Bright have signed former Barcelona and Chelsea forward Eidur Gudjohnsen, according to Xinhua news agency.

Gudjohnsen, 36, spent the second half of last season on loan at Championship club Bolton, scoring five goals in 24 appearances.

The Icelandic forward is now set to ply his trade in China for Shijiazhuang Ever Bright, who are currently eighth in their league.

Gudjohnsen becomes the latest household name to sign for a Chinese Super League team, with Guangzhou Evergrande signing Paulinho from Tottenham Hotspur for €14 million this week.

Shanghai Shenhua have also announced they are to sign former Chelsea striker Demba Ba from Besiktas.
