Mauro Icardi's wife and agent has claimed Inter Milan have made the striker available for transfer, although the Serie A club have reportedly denied that is the case.
Icardi, 23, is under contract until 2019 and said last month that he is keen to remain at the San Siro, but he is said to be seeking improved terms.
On Sunday, his wife Wanda Nara wrote a series of tweets -- which have since been deleted -- saying the club had decided to sell the Argentine striker, adding that neither she nor Icardi actually wanted to leave Milan.
Speaking to calciomercato.com, Nara added: "From what I can gather, Inter have put Mauro Icardi up for sale. There are lots of clubs interested. We'll evaluate the situation with the maximum respect for everybody.
"Mauro would really be sorry to leave Inter, but we understand that the financial situation at the club means they evidently can't keep hold of Icardi.
"There's no release clause in his contract and we hope Inter don't ask for sums beyond his market value, and that their demands are coherent with his contract."

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter have insisted that Icardi is not on the market and that the club's new owners, Suning, believe the forward can help them challenge champions Juventus next season.
La Gazzetta reported that Inter would not entertain any offers below their €50 million valuation of the 23-year-old.
