Pablo Zabaleta to review Manchester City future amid Inter Milan links

Pablo Zabaleta will wait until to the end of the season before deciding on his Manchester City future.

Zabaleta has been linked with a move to Inter Milan to be reunited with former City boss Roberto Mancini.

But Zabaleta, who celebrated his 31st birthday with just his third Premier League start of the season in the 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace, says he will talk to the club in the summer about a possible new deal.

"At the end of this season I will have one more year left on my contract. Normally the end of this season will be the time to decide what we will do," he told the Manchester Evening News.

"As a player I think I still have two or three years left to play at the top level, but in football you never know -- things change quickly.

"I am enjoying myself at this great club, and at the end of this season we will have a conversation with the club.

"It's January, and everything comes from the media about players coming in or going out but I am 100 percent focused on City at the moment.

"I want to finish the season here and am not thinking of going anywhere in January."

Zabaleta made his 200th appearance for the club in the win over Palace, which moved City to within a point of the top of the table.

But it has been a frustrating campaign for the full-back, who has been unavailable for large chunks of it with two knee injuries.

Zabaleta is now determined to play his part as City challenge for silverware.

"It's been hard, if I am being honest with myself, and very disappointing," he added. "They are hard moments, the ones spent off the field and this has been the first time in 14 or 15 years of football I have struggled with injury for a long time.

"Everything happens for a reason, and maybe people forgot I have been playing in big competitions for the last two summers, with the World Cup and Copa America. Both times we reached the final and I played in six or seven games, with extra times as well.

"Then here in England I have played a lot of games in all competitions and there comes a moment when your legs start to feel the fatigue.

"With only three weeks rest in between, it's not enough, especially with the type of player I am, working hard up and down for the entire game. Sometimes you have to manage yourself and now I am back and fit."
