Chelsea consider Christian Atsu loan bids from Hamburg, Levante - sources

Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has yet to decide to keep Christian Atsu or loan him out after Hamburg and Levante made offers for the Ghana international, sources have told ESPN FC.

Atsu, 23, returned to Chelsea earlier this month after the club cut short his season-long deal at Bournemouth early.

The winger endured a frustrating spell at Bournemouth with injuries restricting him to just two appearances for the Cherries.

Atsu returned to full training in November, but with first-team chances limited at Bournemouth, Chelsea have opted to recall him.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Atsu, who joined Chelsea from Porto in 2011, has impressed Hiddink in training since his return to Stamford Bridge.

A number of clubs at home and abroad are monitoring Atsu's situation, and sources have told ESPN FC that Bundesliga side Hamburg and La Liga outfit Levante have approached Chelsea about taking the winger on loan for the second half of the season.

The decision on Atsu's future will now rest with Hiddink, who is weighing up whether to implement him into his first-team squad or loan him back out.
