Pep Guardiola takes charge of first training session at Manchester City

The Pep Guardiola revolution at Manchester City is underway with the new boss taking his first training session.

After meeting the fans at the weekend and setting out his vision for his three-year reign in an interview with former Oasis singer Noel Gallagher, the real work has finally begun on the training pitch.

While a number of players are still on holiday after playing for their countries at the Copa America and Euro 2016, there were plenty of first-teamers at City's state-of-the-art Etihad campus for Guardiola's first session.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager was joined by host of senior players including Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri, Wilfried Bony Fernandinho, Aleks Kolarov and Fernando as well as a number of academy players.

Guardiola is famously innovative in his training session and has six weeks to work with his squad before the opening game of the season against Sunderland.

And the 45-year-old already looked at home in Manchester -- barking out instructions from the centre circle as he stamped his philosophy on the new-look City.
