Jordon Ibe's Liverpool contract talks continuing - sources

Jordon Ibe's contract talks with Liverpool are ongoing, contrary to a report claiming otherwise, sources have told ESPN FC.

The Sun has reported that Ibe, 19, is stalling on an offer of £25,000 a week from Liverpool, leading to comparisons with Raheem Sterling who is involved in a contract saga.

However, sources insist there has been no setback in the discussions regarding Ibe, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Derby.

In February, Liverpool indicated they were set to reward Ibe's progress with a new long-term contract -- his existing terms expire in 2017.

Liverpool are also in contract talks with 18-year-old striker Jerome Sinclair, who is likely to be sent out on loan to gain first-team experience next season.

Sinclair made his Premier League debut for the Reds as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday.

He is the youngest first-team player in the club's history, having made his Liverpool debut away to West Brom in the League Cup in September 2012, aged 16 years and six days.
