Juan Bernat relishes Pep linkup

New Bayern Munich signing Juan Bernat has spoken of his excitement at the prospect of working with coach Pep Guardiola after joining the Bundesliga champions.

Bernat, 21, arrived from Valencia early this week, and the left-back, speaking to reporters at his Bayern unveiling, said the chance to link up with Guardiola had been a huge draw for him.

"I'm a real Pep fan," he said. "I think I can learn a great deal from him. He asked me if I would like to join and that was an honour for me."

Bernat, who took part in his first Bayern training session on Thursday, was praised by director of sport Matthias Sammer.

"He plays football the same way as he talks -- quick, succinct and with substance,'' Sammer said.

"We hope that he will very soon become an established player with us."

Speaking to Bayern's official website, Bernat said he was joining "one of the best clubs in the world" and added: "I want to give my all to get into the first team and go on to win plenty of titles with FC Bayern."
