Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu wrote on Twitter: "With Barca since 13 years of age. Congrats on extending your contract to 2020."
The club confirmed on their official website that the new deal contains a €75 million buyout clause.
Brazil international Rafinha said he was "very happy" after signing the deal and added: "The club is my home."
