Real Madrid 'watching Alvaro Morata at Juve, eyeing possible summer move'

Real Madrid are monitoring the progress of Alvaro Morata at Juventus and could look to re-sign the striker at the end of the season, according to AS.

Morata, 22, moved from Madrid to Juve for 22 million euros last summer, but the Spanish club included a buy-back clause in the player's contract.

Under the terms of that agreement, the European champions can re-sign him for 30 million euros in the summer or for 35 million euros at the end of next season.

The La Liga side have already approached the player's camp to congratulate him on his recent performances -- he has netted seven goals this season -- and are not ruling out making a move, AS reports.

Madrid also reserved a right of refusal against offers from other clubs during Morata's first two years in Turin.

Additionally, Madrid and Morata also reached an agreement for five seasons, in the instance that he returns, that states that they would improve upon the contractual terms he has at Juve -- the striker signed a four-year deal with an option for a further year and earns 2.2 million euros a year, with bonuses.
