Patrick Vieira has been sacked as Nice head coach after a poor run of form, the club announced on Friday.
The French club were dumped out of the Europa League group stages after a 3-2 defeat at home to Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday.

Nice have lost their last five matches in all competitions and are 11th position in Ligue 1.
A club statement read: "Following an interview last night, the Nice board have informed Patrick Vieira of their decision to end the collaboration.
"The Nice directors would like to sincerely thank the former France international for his involvement in the development of the club and wish him all the best for the rest of his managerial career."
The 1998 World Cup winner joined Nice in 2018 with the mission to continue the club's progression after Lucien Favre's departure to Borussia Dortmund.
Despite finishing seventh and fifth in his first two league seasons, Nice have suffered disappointing results domestically and in Europe during the 2020-21 campaign.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, one of the richest men in the world, bought the club a year ago and invested heavily with Nice signing Kasper Dolberg from Ajax for a record fee last season.
Former Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin joined the club alongside Arsenal youngster Jeff Reine-Adelaide this summer but results have not improved.
Vieira, 44, has lost almost as many games as Nice manager than he had victories (32 against 35, 21 draws). After the defeat against Leverkusen, he admitted in his news conference that the results were "not good enough."
Vieira has been replaced by Adrian Ursea, Favre's former assistant who came back to the club a year ago to help Vieira. His first game in charge will be away at Reims on Sunday.
