Edin Dzeko could be lured to another major club, his agent says

Edin Dzeko's agent has fuelled speculation about his future by saying his client would be interested in a move to Juventus or Atletico Madrid.

The Bosnian signed a new four-year contract with Manchester City in August after scoring 26 goals last season to help them win the Premier League for the second time in three seasons.

But Irfan Radzipegic suggested the forward would be tempted by the prospect of a move to the reigning Italian or Spanish champions.

He said: "Dzeko is 28 years old and wants to play for the most prestigious teams in Europe.

"If he were to leave Manchester City he'd prefer a big club like Juventus or Atletico Madrid."

Dzeko has only scored four times in an injury-hit season for City while manager Manuel Pellegrini has added to his forward options by signing Wilfried Bony from Swansea for 25 million pounds in January.

While Pellegrini insists he prefers to have four strikers in his squad, he has changed City's system this season to use David Silva behind Sergio Aguero, whereas he tended to use two out-and-out centre-forwards last season.

Dzeko, who joined City for 27 million pounds from Wolfsburg in 2011, was linked with Fenerbahce at the end of the transfer window.

But Radzipegic said his only chance of a move to Turkey came when his former City manager Roberto Mancini expressed an interest in taking him to Galatasaray during his brief spell in charge there.

"We haven't received any offer from Fenerbahce," he added.

"Last year Roberto Mancini's Galatasaray asked for him [Dzeko] on loan, but nothing came of it."
