Leicester's Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante land 2015-16 season awards

Riyad Mahrez has expressed his gratitude to Leicester City's fans after being named Player of the Season by the club's supporters.

Mahrez, 25, has enjoyed an outstanding 2015-16 for Leicester, scoring 17 Premier League goals and assisting 11 to help the side to the title.

The Algeria international won the PFA Player of the Year award in April and he has now be acknowledged at the club's annual awards night.

Also at the ceremony, N'Golo Kante, who has also been superb for the Foxes in midfield, landed the Players' Player of the Season prize.

Leicester striker Jamie Vardy, who has netted 24 goals this season, won the club's Goal of the Season for his tremendous strike in February's 2-0 win over Liverpool.

Mahrez said on the club's official website: "It feels good. It's good to be voted for from the fans. I want to thank them all and I love all the Leicester fans because they are great supporters. I'm very happy. We just know we've done something crazy -- something unbelievable.

"For myself first, the goals I scored for the team, all the wins. The Aston Villa win when we were 2-0 down and we won 3-2, and the Manchester City win away.

"The stadium is very amazing. The fans are close to us and I feel very good here to play. I just want to say thank you to all the fans -- I hope they support us every year."
