Cristiano Ronaldo will make a record 17th appearance in the European Championship against Hungary on Wednesday, his 800th for club and country.
The Portugal captain will move one game ahead of Lilian Thuram (France) and Edwin van der Sar (Netherlands) when he takes to the field in the Group F decider in Lyon.

The 31-year-old can also become the first player to score in four different European Championships (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016) if he nets in the game. A goal would also see him overtake Nuno Gomes for the most Euro goals in Portuguese history (seven), in scoring his 59th goal for his country.

If Ronaldo fails to get on the scoresheet, Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic has the opportunity to score in his fourth finals against Belgium later in the day.
