Arjen Robben 'disappointed' by Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich departure

Arjen Robben has voiced his disappointment that Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola will leave the German club following the 2015-16 season.

The Dutchman has been a mainstay since Guardiola took over at the Allianz Arena in 2013, and admits that he is taking a wait-and-see attitude toward Carlo Ancelotti, who will replace Guardiola in the summer.

"It is a real shame that Guardiola is leaving," Robben told Dutch publication NOS. "Yes, I am bit disappointed to see him leave.

"We will have to wait and see how things pan out with Ancelotti. It's always like that with a new coach. You have to start all over again.

"But it is obviously still very early to say anything about it. It has just been formally announced, but we are only halfway through the season and there is still plenty to win."

Robben, who has appeared in just 12 of Bayern's 27 competitive fixtures this season thanks to a series of muscle injuries, expects to be fully fit for the trip to Hamburg on Jan. 22, following the Bundesliga's month-long winter break.

"I expect to be fully match fit again for our first game after the winter break," he said.

"I am happy that 2015 is nearly behind us. It has not been a good year for me. I got injured in March or April after a foul and never really got over it. I struggled from there on."
