Dynamos consolidated their resurgence following a slow start to their Zimbabwe Premier League campaign with a thrilling 3-2 win over Ngezi Platinum in Harare on Thursday evening.

Midfielder Denver Mukamba struck with a neat first-time effort to put Dynamos ahead on the half-hour mark, but it was going to take a lot more effort to subdue a Ngezi side who have been setting the pace in the title race.

Tonderai Ndiraya's team had been dislodged from the league summit by Black Rhinos 24 hours earlier and were in no mood to be brushed off that easily, promptly responding through Admire Dzukamanja to ensure the score-line was even at the break.

Dynamos went into the encounter on the back of a three-match winning streak but they were forced to briefly relive their early season woes after Dominic Mukandi pounced to put Ngezi 2-1 up with 20 minutes to go.

Five minute later, DeMbare were back in it, with captain Ocean Mushure finding the equaliser to set the stage for a nail-biting final 15 minutes.

And it is the Harare giants whose fans went home rejoicing after Cameroonian import Christian Etouba once again came to the rescue with a trademark ferocious effort late on.

The win allowed Dynamos to rise into fifth place on 23 points, one behind How Mine, who overcame the expulsion of midfielder Marvellous Mukumba just before the break to beat Yadah FC 2-1 in Bulawayo.

Midfielder Pascal Manhanga struck from just outside the box to give How Mine the lead on the half-hour mark, and young striker Toto Banda made the most of a spill by Yadah goalkeeper Chenjerai Dube to put gold miners further ahead on the stroke of half-time.

Wellington Kamudyariwa pulled one back for Yadah after the break but 10-men How Mine held on for a win which brought them to within two points of the league summit.

Bantu Rovers star Bukhosi Sibanda scored his ninth goal of the season as his side drew 1-1 with fellow strugglers Tsholotsho at Luveve.

Lucky Nyathi equalised for Tsholotsho moments later following a howler by veteran defender Dumisani Ndlovu.
