Round-up: Victory at last for Bosso as Dembare, CAPS, held

Highlanders ended a three match losing streak with a narrow 1-0 win over Herentals to climb into fifth on the standings, but there was no such respite for Dynamos who fought back to force a 2-2 draw at troubled Shabanie Mine in the Zimbabwe Premier League on Sunday.

Highlanders have struggled to shake off a poor run of form which had seen them register just three wins in 11 matches. Coach Madinda Ndlovu must have feared the worst as his team struggled to impose their play on the visitors...

Giants fall in Zimbabwe Premier League

Troubled giants Dynamos came within seconds of a third consecutive win, only for former son King Nasama to stop the party with a 90th-minute equaliser for Chicken Inn as the headline fixture of matchday 18 ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

It was a weekend of upsets in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League, with top of the table FC Platinum suffering a first home defeat in two years, while second-placed Ngezi Platinum were handed a fourth consecutive loss at Herentals. Bulawayo giants Highlanders also hit...

Platinum set to consolidate dominance as traditional giants falter

The action resumes in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League this weekend following the mid-season break, with champions FC Platinum looking to consolidate their hold on top spot with a tenth victory in 11 matches when they host ZPC Kariba on Saturday.

Second-placed Ngezi Platinum Stars, meanwhile, have a perfect opportunity to end a disastrous three-match losing streak when they visit promoted Herentals .

The title contest is already shaping into a two-horse race, as the Platinum sides gradually peel...

Platinum punish Dynamos as Bosso and CAPS draw

Rodwell Chinyengetere scored a first-half brace to power FC Platinum to a 2-0 win over Dynamos on match-day 12 in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League on Sunday.

The reigning Player of the Year needed just four minutes to put his name on the scoresheet after taking advantage of some nervy Dynamos defending to slot home from close range and silence Rufaro Stadium.

The Harare giants were looking disorganised at the back, with a 3-5-2 formation deployed by coach Biggie Zuze not making matters any easier.

Ngezi compound CAPS woes, Dynamos win

Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League pacesetters Ngezi Platinum Stars stretched their lead at the top to three points following a comeback 2-1 win over CAPS United at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Ngezi had not beaten CAPS in competitive football since being promoted to the topflight in 2016, and it looked as though that curse would continue after John Zhuwawo handed the hosts the lead with a deflected half-volley just before the half-hour mark.

It was only the third goal Ngezi have conceded...
