Australia began the Tournament of Nations on a high note, beating the United States for the first time ever.

Australia's women's national team boss Alen Stajcic hasn't had a lot of down time recently. With the Matildas riding an unprecedented wave of popularity the head coach is not resting on his laurels and is firmly focused on what's ahead for the team.

Mo Marley England women
Mo Marley has been the interim England manager since Mark Sampson was sacked in September.

The Football Association plan to name Mark Sampson's permanent successor as England Women's manager by the end of the year.

The FA's head of women's football, Baroness Sue Campbell, revealed the timetable during the Lionesses' friendly against France.

Sampson was sacked in September for what the FA deemed "inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour'' in a previous role, leaving Mo Marley in interim charge.

Technical director Dan Ashworth, chairman Greg Clarke, chief executive Martin Glenn and human resources director...

The Denmark Women's team reached the Euro 2017 final.

Denmark Women's World Cup qualifier against Sweden has been cancelled due to an ongoing pay dispute.

The team refused to play a friendly against Netherlands last month in protest over pay and conditions.

The Danish Football Association (DBU) announced on its website on Wednesday that it had informed its Swedish counterpart that Friday's match in Gothenburg was off.

"It is a historically bad day for the women's team and for Danish football overall," DBU senior vice-president Kim Hallberg said.

Mo Marley names England Women squad but does not recall Eni Aluko

Mo Marley has named her first England women's squad.

Interim head coach Mo Marley has shown her confidence in the England Women players who featured in predecessor Mark Sampson's final match after naming the squad to face France next week.

Sampson was sacked the day after England's 6-0 World Cup qualifying win against Russia over matters related to his behaviour in a previous job at Bristol Academy.

Marley has chosen her first squad on almost identical lines to the last selection, meaning there is no recall for Chelsea striker Eni Aluko.

Aluko's allegations...
