David Moyes said his West Ham players are prepared for the possibility of additional crowd trouble in his side's game against Southampton on Saturday.

West Ham's last game at the London Stadium, a 3-0 defeat against Burnley, was marred by pitch invasions, the throwing of missiles and protests against the board.

A number of additional security measures, including an increased police presence, have been put in place for this weekend.

"We have got such a strong and powerful support base that when it's good, it's good, but when it's not, they let you know," Moyes said.

"We have to make sure that we are in the game. We've got to make sure we don't let anything alter our mindset. I think the players are in a different mindset now. They are prepared."

With hundreds of angry supporters congregating below the directors' box, joint-owners David Sullivan and David Gold were eventually forced to leave their seats for their own safety, with Sullivan being struck by a coin.

"I think the fans will be right behind us," Moyes said. "They know the importance of the game. All of them.

"The bit's been done now. Let's make sure you help the team. We will do everything to give them something to cheer about. We'll play our part. Make sure you play your part."

Moyes said West Ham will check on Manuel Lanzini ahead of Southampton's visit after he injured a knee in Argentina's friendlies.

Arthur Masuaku is back after his six-game ban for spitting and Edimilson Fernandes is fit again, but James Collins is a doubt with a hamstring problem and Winston Reid, Pedro Obiang, Sam Byram and Andy Carroll are still sidelined.
