West Ham to honour club legends Trevor Brooking and Billy Bonds

Two of West Ham United's all-time greats will be honoured at Saturday's Premier League game against Arsenal.

Trevor Brooking and Billy Bonds will be accompanied by family members and a number of West Ham's other star players from the 1970s as the club continues its "Farewell Boleyn" celebrations.

The pair made a combined 1,442 first-team appearances for the Hammers in a period when the East London club won two FA Cups -- in 1975 and 1980 -- and reached the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup.

A five-time Hammer of the Year, Brooking took charge as a caretaker manager later in his career before moving into football administration within the national set-up.

Bonds spent 21 years at the Boleyn Ground, racking up an appearance record of 799. Retiring as a player in 1988, Bonds went on to manage the Hammers and steered them to promotion to the Premier League for the first time in 1993.

The two legends paired up as joint-managers at Mark Noble's recent testimonial and will be honoured by the fans at Upton Park on Saturday, against the club they beat in the 1980 FA Cup final.
