'Magnificent' West Ham should have scored more vs. Tottenham - Bilic

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic felt Tottenham were lucky to lose just 1-0 to his side on Wednesday, and said his players were "simply magnificent."

Tottenham's attempt to go top of the Premier League was spoiled by a seventh-minute Michail Antonio header at Upton Park.

Tottenham struggled to find rhythm in the first half and were saved by Hugo Lloris' heroics a number of times after the Hammers' opener.

Bilic took great satisfaction from the win over their rival, but added it should have been worse for Maurico Pochettino's men.

"If you have to take one game out of all games this season, it's always Spurs [at] home. The game of the season for us, for the fans I mean," the West Ham boss said.

"To match the team that has conceded the least goals in the Premier League, that has scored the most goals, that is considered the best at running and pressing. Their confidence is sky high.

"You have to play good football to outplay them, and win against them without being lucky. ... Maybe I'm a bit biased, but they should be happier with the result than us. It should have been more.

"In all aspects of the football, for 90 minutes, we were simply magnificent."

Spurs centre-backs Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer were both booked and Bilic felt there was a case that both should have been sent off.

"It's debatable," Bilic said of Alderweireld's foul on Emmanuel Emenike in the first half, which resulted in the Belgian's yellow card.

"Second half, there's no explanation," he said, after Wimmer appeared to foul Emenike but the referee awarded Spurs a freekick.

"Ok we won the game and we're happy and all that -- blah, blah, blah. But that's simply a clear red card. We don't talk about it because we won."
