LONDON -- West Ham manager Sam Allardyce was happy with his side's performance after they saw off Crystal Palace 3-1.
The Hammers won 3-1 at Selhurst Park thanks to goals from Mauro Zarate, Stewart Downing and Carlton Cole.
"I saw that performance last week," he said, in reference to last Saturday's last-minute defeat to Tottenham. "The quality of our finishing has been absolutely superb today.
"Mauro's was a fantastic finish, from outside the box. Stewart's was a finish of the highest class. We played the game out superbly well."
The former Bolton boss saved his job in the summer by pledging a new era of attacking football, and now believes he can deliver.
Hailing new recruits Cheikhou Kouyate, Aaron Cresswell and Zarate, Allardyce said he will happily hand credit to attack coach Teddy Sheringham.
"It's better than I've seen three players adjust to the Premier League in my 11 or 12 years," he said. "Sending the players to Teddy, they really look forward to it.
"Teddy's fitted in really well and if we continue to show those finishing qualities I don't mind him taking all the credit."
