Claudio Yacob signs deal to stay at West Bromwich until 2017

West Brom midfielder Claudio Yacob has signed a new two-year contract at The Hawthorns.

The 27-year-old will now stay at the Premier League club until the summer of 2017.

Revealing the deal on their official website, West Brom said: "The Argentinian midfielder emerged as a key member of Tony Pulis' midfield during the second half of last season, forming an effective partnership with captain Darren Fletcher.

"He finalised his new deal earlier today after returning from Albion's successful preseason trip to Austria."

Yacob has made 85 appearances for the Baggies since joining from Racing Club in his native Argentina three years ago.
