The New Saints break Ajax's world record for consecutive wins

Chris Coleman's wife squashes the Swansea rumours, Ronaldo turns down a load of money and more in The Sweeper.

Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints have broken the world record for consecutive wins.

The New Saints beat Cefn Druids 2-0 on Friday to seal their 27th win in a row -- breaking the record set by Johan Cruyff's Ajax Amsterdam team in 1972.

Aeron Edwards and Jonathon Routledge scored either side of half-time to seal the record-setting win for the club, after having beaten the same opposition 4-0 four days earlier.

The Guinness Book of Records have already verified that TNS will...

Ten people arrested as Welsh match-fixing allegation is investigated

The game between Port Talbot Town and Rhyl is under investigation.

Police have arrested 10 people as part of a probe into the alleged fixing of a Welsh Premier League game.

Detectives began investigating after receiving information about betting patterns on the match between Port Talbot Town and Rhyl in April.

The fixture saw Port Talbot lose 5-0 to already-relegated Rhyl -- who had not won in 17 previous matches.

South Wales Police said seven men and three women had been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and were in custody.

The matter was initially...
