Odion Ighalo signs new five-year contract with Watford

Watford have announced that Odion Ighalo has signed a new contract at Vicarage Road.

Ighalo, 26, has committed to the side, who gained promotion to the Premier League last season, on a five-year deal.

The Nigeria international initially joined Watford on loan from Udinese before making the move permanent in October 2014.

Ighalo enjoyed an impressive 2014-15 season, scoring 20 Championship goals in 35 appearances as the club clinched the runners-up spot.

The striker was on target in Watford's first game of the season, a 2-2 draw at Everton.
