Stuttgart hint at Rojas signing

VfB Stuttgart have given the strongest indication yet that they are set to sign New Zealand international Marco Rojas from A-League side Melbourne Victory.

Marco Rojas was a standout performer this season for Melbourne Victory

Rojas has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga in recent weeks, after declaring he would pursue the next stage of his career outside Australia.

The winger captured the attention of a number of European clubs last season, scoring 15 goals in 27 appearances to lead the Victory to within one match of the A-League grand final.

Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic confirmed to Stuttgarter Nachrichten that a deal for the 21-year-old is impending, saying:  "I am hoping we’ll be able to announce something next week."

Stuttgarter Nachrichten reports Rojas is due to have a medical with the club over the next couple of days before the transfer is officially revealed.
