MLS teams' U.S. Open Cup matchups set as third round concludes
The matchups for the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup -- the first to include MLS teams -- was set as the third round concluded on Wednesday.
The draw was conducted last month before the third round began but the MLS sides now know their opponents.
A number of MLS teams will visit NASL clubs, with the New York Cosmos playing New York City FC at nearby Fordham, while Sporting Kansas City will be on the road against Minnesota United, the New England Revolution travel to face the Carolina RailHawks and Orlando City play at the Jacksonville Armada.
The New York Red Bulls will also play away from home at the USL's Rochester Rhinos.
The biggest upset from the third round saw the Sacramento Republic fall 3-1 to the PDL's Kitsap Pumas, who will next face the Seattle Sounders.
The LA Galaxy were drawn against local amateur club La Maquina from the United States Adult Soccer Association.
