U.S. crush St. Kitts to advance at CONCACAF U-20 Championship

The United States advanced to the Classification stage of the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship with a 4-1 defeat of St. Kitts and Nevis in Costa Rica on Friday.

Sebastian Saucedo scored a pair of goals to help push the Americans into the next phase of the competition, while Brooks Lennon and Jonathan Lewis also added goals for Tab Ramos' team.

Romario Martin provided a 77th-minute consolation strike for St. Kitts.

The U.S., who advanced as the second place team from Group A, qualified with six points from three matches, three points behind Panama, who beat the Americans in their opening group game.

They will begin the next round with a match against Mexico on Monday, Feb. 27 at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Ayma, in Tibas.
