Christian Pulisic, Graham Zusi added to United States squad

United States coach Jurgen Klinsmann has added Sporting Kansas City's Graham Zusi and Borussia Dortmund's Cristian Pulisic to his squad after Friday's disappointing World Cup qualifying defeat in Guatemala.

Midfielder Zusi, 29, was a member of the team at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He has made 32 appearances for his country, scoring three goals.

Pulisic, 17, was suffering from a cold before the final squad announcement ahead of the Guatemala game, and had always been scheduled to join the team once he made a full recovery.

The midfielder will be with the squad in Columbus, Ohio for a second qualifier against the Guatemalans on Tuesday.

He has never played above the under-17 level for the U.S. but broke into Dortmund's first team in recent months.

The United States are currently third in their qualifying group, with three points from three games.
