Ten-man Ross County made it through to the second round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup with a 2-1 win over Livingston.
First division County had the better of the early play with Richard Brittain drawing a fantastic save from goalkeeper Tony Bullock before they took the lead after 37 minutes when Paul Di Giacomo fired into the bottom corner.
Livi levelled matters after 48 minutes through Iain Russell and looked to have the opportunity to go on and win the game when Iain Vigurs was dismissed for the Staggies for violent conduct with 23 minutes remaining.
But instead the home team regained the lead through Andrew Barrowman's close-range header.
The Second division Lions piled on the pressure late on with Robert Winters twice going close but they could not find the equaliser.
