Muller targets revenge on Chelsea

Thomas Muller wants to settle a score with Chelsea when Bayern Munich take on the Europa League winners in the European Super Cup in Prague next week.

Bayern and Chelsea will meet for the first time since the 2012 Champions League final, played at Munich's Allianz Arena, which the London club won in a penalty shoot-out. Bayern Munich had dominated their English opponents throughout the 120 minutes, but were not able to secure victory.

"We do have a small score to settle, even if we can't completely wipe away the memory of losing the Champions League final," Muller told Bayern's official site. "You don't always reach the Super Cup final, so we'll do everything we can to win the trophy."

New Bayern coach Pep Guardiola has adjusted Bayern's tactics but Muller explained he has not had to adapt his game under Guardiola.

"Pep Guardiola has made a few changes to our team tactics but not really to us as individuals," he added. "Every player has his strengths and weaknesses. If Arjen [Robben] is out on the right, he does things differently compared to me in the same position.

"We have what I call structural tasks now, especially in defence. We have to maintain our positions in certain shapes, and that's what it's about.

"We're not really working on individual players in training at the moment. We're looking to go in a new direction in terms of team tactics and build up our ability to dominate. That'll automatically made each individual better."
