Where is the 2021 Champions League final being played?

The final will be played at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.

The game was due to be played at the Krestovsky Stadium in St Petersburg, Russia, but hosting rights were pushed back 12 months due to the coronavirus pandemic. The final will be held in St Petersburg in 2022.

The Ataturk Olympic Stadium was opened in 2002 is the national stadium of Turkey. It was also the home ground of Istanbul Basaksehir until 2014, while Besiktas also played there in the 2013-14 campaign.

When does the match kick off?

The match kicks off on Saturday, May 29 at 22:00 local time (20:00 BST/15:00 EDT/12:00 PDT).

Who is in the final?

Manchester City will play in their first-ever Champions League final after beating Paris Saint-Germain 4-2 on aggregate in the semifinal.

They will play fellow Premier League side Chelsea, who defeated Real Madrid 3-1 on aggregate.

Will there be fans at the final?

The Ataturk Olympic Stadium has a capacity of 75,000, but coronavirus restrictions mean only a "limited number" of fans will be allowed to attend.

Turkey entered its first full lockdown at the end of April, meaning the chance of a significant number of fans is slim.

Just under 10,000 fans will attend the Europa League final in Gdansk, Poland. It is thought UEFA will hope to have the same at the Champions League final.
