Liverpool, Sevilla, Shakhtar, Porto advance in Champions League

Philippe Coutinho scored a hat trick as Liverpool sealed their place atop Champions League Group E with a runaway 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Two first-half goals from Coutinho -- one from the penalty spot and another at the end of a classy team move -- plus a third from Roberto Firmino had Jurgen Klopp's team take a 3-0 lead into the dressing room.

And Liverpool picked up where they left off to start the second half when Sadio Mane smashed a first-time volley from a whipped-in James Milner cross to make it 4-0.

Minutes later, Coutinho completed his hat trick from close range courtesy of a deflection off of a Spartak defender that left Alexander Selikhov no chance in goal.

The home side made it six on the night on the counter-attack in the 75th minute when Daniel Sturridge slid a low pass across the goalmouth and Mane reached back and poked it home for his brace, before Mohamed Salah finished off the scoring from close range.

The win by Liverpool sees Sevilla into the knockouts despite a 1-1 draw at Maribor.

Sevilla went a goal down in the 10th minute, when Marcos Tavares headed in Martin Milec's cross from close range.

Ganso pulled a goal back a quarter-hour from time -- the former Brazil playmaker stroking home with his left foot after receiving a feed from Joaquin Correa outside of the area.

Meanwhile, Shakhtar Donetsk snuck into the round of 16 from Group F at the expense of Napoli with a 2-1 victory over a heavily rotated Manchester City side at the Metalist Stadium.

Former Brazil international Bernard struck with a wonderful curler into the top corner to give the hosts a sensational 26th-minute lead.

Ismaily doubled their advantage six minute after -- the Brazilian turning in Marlos' pass with his left foot from the centre of the box.

Sergio Aguero scored a consolation goal just before the final whistle.

The win doomed Serie A leaders Napoli, who lost 2-1 at 10-man Feyenoord.

Piotr Zielinski opened the scoring after just two minutes, when he swept home the loose ball after a cross from a set piece wasn't cleared in the box.

Feyenoord answered back just after the half-hour mark, when Nicolai Joergensen rose highest and nodded Steven Berghuis's cross from the right inside the far post.

Tonny Vilhena was sent off for a second yellow card in the 83rd minute.

And Feyenoord claimed victory in the 90th minute through Jerry St. Juste.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to score in all six Champions League group games in already-qualified Real Madrid's 3-2 win against Borussia Dortmund.

Real struck first through Borja Mayoral in the eighth minute -- the little-used forward pouncing on Isco's accidental flick and scooping over a sprawled Roman Bürki.

And Ronaldo made history four minutes later. The Real forward picked up the ball from Mateo Kovacic on the edge of the Dortmund area, and bent an unstoppable 20-yard shot to the net past a motionless Burki for his ninth goal in the competition this season.

Dortmund pulled a goal back two minutes before the break through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. And the Gabon international had them level minutes after the restart -- the smooth striker lifting his shot over Keylor Navas after seeing his initial effort saved.

Lucas Vazquez then put Real back on top for good in the 81st minute, slicing home with the outside of his boot after a nodded on pass from Theo Hernandez at the top of the box.

Ten-man Porto advanced out of Group G with a 5-2 defeat of a disappointing Monaco side, who also went down a man at the Estadio do Dragao.

A first-half Vincent Aboubakar double set the hosts well on their way to the round of 16.

A clash between Porto defender Felipe and Monaco's Rachid Ghezzal saw both men sent off for violent conduct in the 38th minute, before Yacine Brahimi gave the Portuguese a three-goal advantage just before the half.

Kamil Glik converted a penalty just after the hour mark after Ivan Marcano was whistled for handling the ball in the box.

Alex Telles restored Porto's advantage four minutes later, before Radamel Falcao struck in the 78th minute and Tiquinho made it five for Porto.

The result saw 10-man Red Bull Leipzig, who fell 2-1 against already-qualified Besiktas, eliminated at the group stage.

Alvaro Negredo struck first for the Turkish side. Naby Keita scored three minutes before the final whistle but Anderson Talisca collected the winner in the 90th to ensure the three points.

Tottenham wrapped up a wonderful group campaign with a comfortable 3-0 dispatching of APOEL Nicosia at Wembley.

First-half goals from Fernando Llorente and Son Heung-Min set the hosts on their way as boss Mauricio Pochettino gave regular starters Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen a rest.

And Georges-Kevin N'Koudou struck in the 80th minute to round out the scoring.
