Philippe Coutinho scored a hat trick as Liverpool sealed their place atop Champions League Group E with a runaway 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow at Anfield on Wednesday night.
Two first-half goals from Coutinho -- one from the penalty spot and another at the end of a classy team move -- plus a third from Roberto Firmino had Jurgen Klopp's team take a 3-0 lead into the dressing room.
And Liverpool picked up where they left off to start the second half when Sadio Mane smashed a first-time volley from a whipped-in James Milner cross to make it 4-0.
Minutes later, Coutinho completed his hat trick from close range courtesy of a deflection off of a Spartak defender that left Alexander Selikhov no chance in goal.
The home side made it six on the night on the counter-attack in the 75th minute when Daniel Sturridge slid a low pass across the goalmouth and Mane reached back and poked it home for his brace, before Mohamed Salah finished off the scoring from close range.
The win by Liverpool sees Sevilla into the knockouts despite a 1-1 draw at Maribor.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to score in all six Champions League group games in already-qualified Real Madrid's 3-2 win against Borussia Dortmund.
Real struck first through Borja Mayoral in the eighth minute -- the little-used forward pouncing on Isco's accidental flick and scooping over a sprawled Roman Bürki.
And Ronaldo made history four minutes later. The Real forward picked up the ball from Mateo Kovacic on the edge of the Dortmund area, and bent an unstoppable 20-yard shot to the net past a motionless Burki for his ninth goal in the competition this season.
