When Carlo Ancelotti led Real Madrid to their 10th European Cup championship, one of his most iconic moments came against Bayern Munich in the semifinal. Bayern was coached by Pep Guardiola, the king of possession-based soccer. Ancelotti's Madrid blew Bayern out, beating them 1-0 at home and then, stunningly 4-0 in Bayern's Allianz Arena. Even more impressively, the team did it while having less than 30 percent of possession. This week the two teams meet again, this time in the Champions League quarterfinals. Only now, the shoe is on the other foot. It's Ancelotti who is coaching a Bayern team that is a possession machine, and it's his managing protégé, the legend, Zinedine Zidane, who is at the helm of a flexible side in Real Madrid.
