'World-class' Mesut Ozil is Arsenal's danger man vs. PSG - Angel Di Maria

Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria has singled out "world class" Mesut Ozil as the Arsenal player most capable of hurting Unai Emery's men in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash at Emirates Stadium.

The Argentina international scored in PSG's 2-0 home win over FC Nantes in Ligue 1 last Saturday but went off as a precaution because of an injury before half-time. However, the 28-year-old has been passed fit and is in the French champions' travelling party.

Speaking with UEFA.com, Di Maria praised the fact Arsenal are "excellent on the counter-attack" and marvelled over German international Ozil's technique when asked which Gunner poses the biggest threat.

"[Mesut] Ozil is a world class player, his passing is excellent and he is surrounded by some very fast players," Di Maria said. "However, we have played well in the Champions League this season and we still have two matches left, so we must continue to work hard. Our objective is to top the group."

PSG and Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw at Parc des Princes back in September and Wednesday's meeting is essentially a straight shoot-out for top spot in Group A with both sides already through to the latter stages with two games to spare.

Di Maria felt Les Parisiens "played very well and had chances to win the game" against Arsene Wenger's men in Paris, which would have given them an early advantage in the race to finish first.

"We played better than Arsenal, only we did not score more goals than them," Di Maria said. "I do not think there was much for us to learn from this match.

"We have a very strong team with a few top quality players. If we do what we are supposed to, then we will have a chance to fulfil our objective."

Di Maria was part of the Real Madrid side that won the 2013-14 Champions League against Atletico Madrid in Lisbon, so the former SL Benfica man has some knowhow when it comes to lifting the trophy.

The man from Rosario felt PSG "were not clinical enough and did not do what we were supposed to do over the two legs" in last season's semifinal defeat to Manchester City" and feels fortune played a key role for Real, while the French giants need some.

"Luck, of course, you need a little bit of it," said Di Maria. "Last season, when we played against City, if you think back to it, we had greater quality than them and we had a great chance to reach the semifinals but we lost 1-0 in Manchester.

"On the other hand, when I reached the Champions League final with Real, there was only a minute or two left when Sergio Ramos equalised and completely changed the game. This is the luck you sometimes need to turn things around."
