Sevilla vs. Lyon match sees fans arrested and injured in clashes

Four Lyon fans were arrested and two were injured during clashes with Spanish police before the Ligue 1 side's 1-0 Champions League defeat to Sevilla on Tuesday.

While the quartet of supporters arrested spent the night in cells, the injured duo were treated for a collarbone problem and suspected concussion following the disturbances outside Sevilla's Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

"An incomprehensible aggression by the Spanish mounted police on our supporters," OL president Jean-Michel Aulas said in a tweet he has since removed, as reported by RMC. "Disgraceful scenes of officers with truncheons."

Representatives of Lyon remained at the stadium after the final whistle to ask UEFA to look into the incidents.
