Real Madrid complete Champions League group stage draw seeds

The seeds for next season's Champions League group stage draw are now confirmed after Real Madrid won the Champions League final.

The champions of Europe's top seven leagues had already sealed their places in Pot 1, with surprise Premier League winners Leicester City joined by Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, Paris-Saint Germain and CSKA Moscow.

The final place among the seeds goes to the Champions League holders, taken by Real Madrid after their victory over Atletico Madrid at the San Siro.

Runners-up Atletico Madrid will be in Pot 2, along with Europa League winners Sevilla, plus Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen. Manchester City and FC Porto will join them if they come through qualifying.

Tottenham are very likely to be in Pot 3, but could yet move up to Pot 2 if all three higher ranked teams in the qualifying rounds fail to make it to the groups. There are going to be some strong teams in Pot 4, as PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon, Borussia Monchengladbach, AS Roma and Monaco could feature.
