UEFA hit three clubs with stadium bans

The ESPN FC crew discuss whether or not English teams can compete in the Champions League.

NYON, Switzerland -- Slovan Bratislava, Dinamo Moscow and Ruch Chorzow have all been given partial stadium bans by UEFA following racist behaviour by their fans at recent Champions League and Europa League matches.

European football's governing body released a statement on Friday saying the three clubs must close sections of their stadiums at home games next week.

Slovan host BATE Borisov in the first leg of a Champions league playoff on Wednesday, Dinamo welcome Omonia Nicosia on Thursday, while Ruch Chorzow play at home to Metalist Kharkiv on the same night.

Slovakian champions Slovan were punished after a Champions League third qualifying round home tie against Sheriff of Moldova.

In the Europa League, meanwhile, Russia's Dinamo were sanctioned after hosting Israel's Hapoel Kiryat Shmona, and Ruch Chorzow of Poland for incidents against Esbjerg of Denmark.

Steaua Bucharest, Debrecen and Maribor were all hit with partial stadium bans by UEFA earlier this month following racist incidents.
