Cesare Prandelli in Galatasaray talks

Galatasaray have announced that they are in talks with former Italy manager Cesare Prandelli.

The Turkish Super Lig runners-up parted company with Roberto Mancini in June and have already held talks with former Manchester United manager David Moyes about the vacancy.

However, they said Germany boss Joachim Low and U.S. boss Jurgen Klinsmann were their main targets.

Galatasaray will play in the Champions League in place of Fenerbahce, who were removed from the tournament after a domestic match-fixing case.

Prandelli quit the Azzurri following their group stage exit from the World Cup. Italy beat England 2-1 in their opening game, but subsequently lost to Costa Rica and Uruguay.
