UEFA has distributed over one billion euros to clubs participating in the Champions League and Europa League during the 2013-14 campaign with four sides earning over 50 million euros each.
Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus were the highest earners in the Champions League, while the 32 clubs participating in the competition took a combined 904 million euros.
Each of the 32 received a payment of 8.5 million euros for entry, with other factors for payment coming via points won, knockout stages navigated and a marketing pool divided between countries.
Real Madrid, who won the tournament, topped the pile with takings of 57.4 million euros. Runners-up Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, received a total of 50 million euros, but were surpassed by PSG, who, despite a quarterfinal exit, claimed 54.4 million euros.
Serie A champions Juventus earned 50.1 million euros, despite failing to make it past the group stage and being relegated to the Europa League.
Manchester United (44.78 million euros) and Chelsea (43.34 million euros) were the only two Premier League sides to earn over 40 million euros, while Bayern Munich (44.62 million euros) were the only Bundesliga team to surpass that mark. Barcelona also received a total of over 40 million.
Olympiakos were the biggest earners outside the five big European leagues taking home 27.4 million euros.
Money owed to PSG, Manchester City, Galatasaray and Zenit St. Petersburg, is currently being withheld due to non-compliance with FFP regulations, UEFA also announced.
