Manchester United transfer target Toni Kroos has declared he "belongs" to Bayern Munich after the clubs played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal.

The 24-year-old's deal with the German champions expires in the summer of 2015 and talks regarding a new contract have stalled. That led to speculation he could be set for a bumper move to the Premier League with Manchester United emerging as one of the interested parties.
Kroos' brother Felix, who plays for Werder Bremen says the family have discussed a potential move to Manchester but Toni has ruled out making any decision until the end of this season.
After Kroos played the full 90 minutes in Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, which saw Bastian Schweinsteiger controversially sent off, he told Munich's TZ newspaper: "I belong to Bayern Munich."
"It is a beautiful stadium," he said of Old Trafford. "But I belong to Bayern Munich and that's good."
Bayern are adamant they want to keep Kroos but chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admits he is unsure if that will happen. "[Kroos] will certainly play at Bayern next year," he said. "What's beyond that, I don't know."
Schweinsteiger's equaliser gave Bayern the upper hand ahead of next week's second leg in Germany but United gave the Bavarians a sterner test than many were expecting.
Still, Kroos says he is confident the holders will reach the final four: "It was a tough game," he told Bayern's official website. "We dominated the match, but Man United gave their all and they were dangerous. We deserved the 1-1 draw at the end of the day. The result's OK. We've got every chance in the return game."
