Manchester City defender Jason Denayer has joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan.

The Belgium international also attracted interest from Marseille and Sunderland but has opted to move to Turkey.

The 20-year-old signed a five-year contract with City in July and was set to be their fourth-choice central defender this season. But he then became surplus to requirements this year when City signed Argentina international Nicolas Otamendi from Valencia for £31.5 million on August 20.

Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic is set to join Turkish club Fenerbahce on a season's loan, sources have told ESPN FC.

Manager Brendan Rodgers hopes the move will allow the 21-year-old to develop into a player capable of succeeding at Anfield, sources said.

Chelsea's Marko Marin joins Trabzonspor on loan

Marko Marin has previously spent time on loan at Sevilla, Fiorentina and Anderlecht.

Chelsea winger Marko Marin has joined Trabzonspor on loan with an option to purchase.

Marin, 26, joined Chelsea from Werder Bremen on a five-year contract in 2012 but he has spent the majority of his time at the club out on loan, spending time with Sevilla, Fiorentina and Anderlecht.
