Oguchi Onyewu signs short-term deal at Charlton

LONDON -- Second-tier English club Charlton says it has signed American defender Oguchi Onyewu on a short-term contract until January.

The 32-year-old Onyewu has played 69 times for the United States and featured in two World Cups, but was not included in the team for the 2014 tournament in Brazil.
