Arsenal flop Yaya Sanogo wanted by Toulouse

Toulouse are considering a move for Yaya Sanogo following his release by Arsenal according to reports in the French press, with the Ligue 1 side keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

The 24-year-old attacker was released by Arsenal at the end of the season, having made just 11 league appearances for the Gunners since signing from Auxerre in 2013.

After loan spells with Crystal Palace, Jong Ajax and Charlton Athletic, the Franco-Ivorian frontman was deemed surplus to requirements by Arsene Wenger, who brought his frustrating Premier League career to an end.

However, L'Equipe report that Sanogo still has admirers despite failing to make an impact in North London. According to the French source, Le TFC are considering a move for the Franco-Ivorian frontman and are closely monitoring his situation.

Pascal Dupraz's side finished the Ligue 1 season in 13th, and having scored just 37 goals -- the fifth lowest in the league -- he appears to be keen to boost his offensive options during the offseason.

Toulouse are likely to lose Danish forward Martin Braithwaite this summer, with the attacker having been heavily linked with a move to West Ham United and Southampton, while Ola Toivonen and Jimmy Durmaz have also been tipped for the exit door.

Despite representing France at various youth levels from U-16 to U-21, and winning the U-20 World Cup alongside Paul Pogba and Samuel Umtiti, he hasn't made the step up to France's senior side.
