Tottenham's Harry Kane: We're finding it easier to score in away games
LONDON -- Harry Kane has said it is easier for Tottenham Hotspur to play away games after scoring twice in Saturday's 3-2 win at West Ham.
Spurs have won their opening three away league games for the first time since 1991 after their first win at the London Stadium.
Since the 1-0 defeat at West Ham in May, Spurs have scored 21 goals in five away wins -- 11 of them from Kane -- but managed two in their three matches at their temporary Wembley home.
And Kane said: "When teams come to our place, whether it's White Hart Lane or Wembley, they're going to drop off [defend deep], and we've got to find a way to get around that and win.
"It's maybe a bit more open away and we take advantage of that, but we've still got to find a way to win at home as well.
"I feel we've been a bit unlucky in the last few games at home, but it's important we continue this away form until that changes. Then if we continue what we're doing we should be right up there."
Kane said he felt Spurs had "played very well" to beat London rivals West Ham, despite being forced to hang on to their advantage as the home side pulled two goals back either side of Serge Aurier's sending off.
He added: "We did very well to grind it out, and it's a massive three points away from home."
Tottenham take on Apoel Nicosia in a Champions League clash in Cyprus on Tuesday, and Kane warned: "There's no easy game away from home in the Champions League. It's going to be tough, but we feel we can win the game.
"If we can win that, we can't worry too much about other results but we'll be on six points and in a great position.
"It's going to be a hostile atmosphere, I'd imagine, out there. We've got to go and play and try to win the game, but it's going to be tough."
Kane nearly scored a first hat trick of the season at West Ham but saw a superb free kick crash back off the post.
He said: "We practice free kicks in training, especially the day before games. On Friday I was practising them and I felt really good.
"Even that one, it's more of a crossing position but I kind of fancied it and was a bit unlucky. Hopefully one of them goes in for me soon.
"Whenever you score two goals, especially in the first half, you're always looking for the hat trick, but I'm just happy to get the two goals and win the game."
