Tottenham Hotspur announce Hong Kong friendly in week after season

Tottenham Hotspur will play a friendly in Hong Kong the week after the end of the Premier League season.

Spurs will take on Kitchee SC on Friday May 26, just five days after they finish the domestic season at Hull City.

They also visited Hong Kong for friendlies in 2009 and 2013, and manager Mauricio Pochettino told the club's official website they were "aware of our growing popularity across Asia."

"This latest visit represents a great chance for us to engage with our loyal fans in the region and thank them for their fantastic support and the commitment they make to watching us at any hour of the day or night," he said.

A club source told ESPN FC that a full senior squad including internationals Hugo Lloris, Dele Alli and Harry Kane, would make the trip despite World Cup qualifiers taking place in June.

Pochettino is also expected to include talented young players such as winger Marcus Edwards and right-back Kyle Walker-Peters.

Spurs have already confirmed that they will compete in the International Champions Cup, being played in three venues across the United States, in July.
