Moussa Sissoko confident he will improve at Tottenham Hotspur

Moussa Sissoko has told Tottenham Hotspur fans his performances will improve after making a slow start to life at White Hart Lane.

Sissoko, 27, ended speculation about his future by joining Spurs from Newcastle United in a £30 million deadline day move in the summer.

The deal, a club record, meant expectations were high, but in six Premier League outings for his new side Sissoko has yet to contribute a goal or an assist, while a three-game ban for violent conduct has added to fans' frustration.

However, the France international told footmercato.net that Spurs supporters need to just be patient a little longer before seeing the best of their new signing.

"It's going well. I'm discovering a new club, a new environment, new teammates, a new playing system and way of playing," Sissoko, whose ban ended with Sunday's North London derby draw with Arsenal, said.

"I've had to adapt. Day by day, match by match, I feel better and better. It's good. I'm learning alongside very good players. The more time that passes, the better my performances will be.

"I try to contribute with my qualities whether that be taking play forward, penetration, or my pace. I play to my strengths. That's why the club brought me in.

"I don't see why I would try to change my style. They know my strengths and that's why they signed me. It's up to me to put them at the disposal of the team so we can achieve our objectives together."
