Moussa Sissoko excited about future at Tottenham Hotspur

Moussa Sissoko has said he believes Tottenham Hotspur have everything in place to succeed this season and has no regrets about joining the club.

Sissoko, 27, arrived from Newcastle United for £30 million on deadline day and has started the club's last two Premier League matches -- victories over Sunderland and Middlesbrough.

Saturday's 2-1 win at Boro leaves Spurs second in the Premier League table, four points behind next week's opponents Manchester City -- the only other unbeaten team in the division.

"Of course, I can't regret it. Tottenham is a fantastic club -- it was a good opportunity for me to come here," Sissoko told reporters.

"Everything is here to do well. We have a strong team, a big squad, we're fighting to finish at the top of the league and we're in the Champions League.

"I'm very happy and proud to be here. I hope to do well, and everyone does well, and we can finish top of the league and win something at the end of the season."

Sissoko asked to leave Newcastle following their relegation to the Championship and, although he starred for France at Euro 2016, he did not feature for the Magpies after the tournament.

After playing a full match against Sunderland, he was replaced on 70 minutes at Boro and said he was still not fully match fit.

"I can't tell you I'm 100 percent fit but, day by day, I feel better," he said. "My preseason was complicated with Newcastle.

"Since I came to Tottenham, I've worked a lot and tried to learn the style of this team. It's different to Newcastle. But I'm happy, and game by game I'll get better.

"We're all happy because we won the game. At 2-0 up, I think we should score more goals because we had a lot of chances we didn't score. When they came back to 2-1, it was another game.

"But the most important thing was to win. We did, we're all happy and we can go to CSKA Moscow [in the Champions League] free in our heads."
