Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks signs new deal until 2021

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks is the latest player to sign a new contract, committing his future to the club until 2021.

Winks, 20, agreed a new deal until 2019 in March this year but he has been rewarded for his progress with a pay-rise and a two-year extension.

Winks impressed on the Spurs' preseason trip to Melbourne, where he featured in the friendlies against Juventus and Atletico Madrid in the International Champions Cup.

Christian Eriksen and Eric Dier have agreed new long-term contracts in the past fortnight, while sources have told ESPN FC that Kyle Walker and Danny Rose will follow suit in the near future.

Spurs are also in talks with Erik Lamela, Jan Vertonghen and Harry Kane.

The departures of Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb in the summer have seen Winks jump up the midfield pecking order and he has been an unused substitute in three of Spurs' four Premier League matches so far.

Winks, who has been capped by England at under-17, U18, U19 and U20 levels, made his Spurs debut against Qarabag in the Europa League last season and he could feature in Wednesday's EFL Cup match against Gillingham.
