Tottenham midfielder Son Heung-Min has been shortlisted for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian International Player of the Year award.

Son, 23, has made an immediate impact at White Hart Lane since arriving from German club Bayer Leverkusen during the summer.

The South Korea international joins QPR's Australian midfielder Massimo Luongo -- a former Spurs player -- and Swansea's Ki Sung-Yueng on the three-man list.

He has scored three goals in his five starts for the North Londoners to boost his chances of landing the award.

Guangzhou Evergrande's Zheng Zhi, Al-Ahli forward Ahmed Khalil and Omar Abdulrahman of Al-Ain are shortlisted for the AFC Player of the Year award.

The Coach of the Year contest, meanwhile, is between Australia boss Ange Postecoglou, Japan women's coach Norio Sasaki and Mahdi Ali Hassan, the Dubai-born coach of the United Arab Emirates.

The winners will be announced at the AFC Annual Awards in New Delhi on Nov. 29.
