Damiao set to stay put
Internacional are not planning to sell Leandro Damiao until after next year's World Cup.
Tottenham have reportedly had a long-term interest in Damiao, 23, while more recently Southampton and Napoli are believed to have made enquiries about the striker.
However, Internacional president Luis Cesar Souto de Moura, who has seen his club have a bid for Nilmar rejected by Al-Rayyan, is confident that the Brazil international will not be heading to Europe just yet.
"If Al-Rayyan can keep Nilmar, we can keep Leandro Damiao, even if there is a big offer," Moura told Radio Bandeirantes.
"It's silly to sell Leandro Damiao this year, he has the chance to play at the World Cup and improve at a personal and professional level.
"We are confident and we understand that he can wait another year, play the World Cup, increase his value with the national team and then be transferred and have other opportunities."
Damiao scored six goals for Brazil at last summer’s Olympics, while he has scored a further three goals from 16 appearances for the senior side.
